About Sara

Sara Sadjadi (she/her) is an actor and deviser based in Chicago. Her passion for theater has taken her from her hometown in Maryland to college in Santa Barbara, California, and now to the best of both worlds, Chicago.

Sara’s time at UC Santa Barbara’s BFA program changed her life. She fell in love with Shakespeare and was able to perform in many full productions, including two overseas! Shakespeare is her favorite thing to study, watch, and perform. Just ask her about her dream roles, you’ll never hear the end of it.

At UCSB, Sara not only grew her acting skill set, but she discovered the wonderful world of self-made work. With help from professors and classmates, Sara devised more than 10 movement pieces, wrote a handful of one-acts, and created a one-woman show. New work is very important to her and she is always excited to not only create, but support others’ creations as well.

After graduation, Sara was selected to be an Acting Resident at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. She was able to understudy incredible actors and learn the art of foley in It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (Fun fact: Trixie Mattel saw this show!) She performed in the annual tradition of A Christmas Carol at the beautiful PABST theater, and is currently Dipti in the regional premiere of McNeal!

When not on stage, Sara is almost always in the company of her friends.
